The Machida Method of Hydroponics

The Machida Hydroponic Cultivation is the world's only method that consistently achieves successful melon hydroponic cultivation. Its most significant feature is the water circulation system within the cultivation container, which promotes extremely healthy root growth. Even for cantaloupes (netted melons), which are prone to root rot and disease among crops, this technique allows for delicious cultivation and the potential for high yields – up to 60 melons per plant (with an average of 30 to 40).
Aiming to utilize fallow land and revitalize agriculture, we provide new cultivation techniques and facilities to contribute to regional development.

At the Dream Star Research Institute, using the Machida-style cultivation, we've achieved yields of around 60 melons per plant. The flavor rivals premium melons, capturing enthusiasts with its rich aroma and exquisite sweetness. This growing recognition is poised to continue rising.
